This book was published in 1948, and she is also known for writing the book " The Hundred and One Dalmations" and "Starlight Barking." She lived from the year 1896 to 1990, which would have made her died at the age of 94. The book is about her and her family living in poverty in old English times. So during this time she gets to take off on her writhing skills. I don't think this book is personally for me because, it doesn't seem like the genre of book I would read. I like books that are more exciting, or have an adventure twist to them. Also it some what has to do with old English which is another thing that I don't like.
